Summary This position is located within the VA Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Pharmacy Service. The position is certified, highly specialized technician responsible for the first line management of all controlled substances handled by the pharmacy for the Hampton VAMC. Mandated accountability and control of scheduled drugs makes this a particularly sensitive position that is considered critical by all levels of management. Responsibilities Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include, but not limited to: Accurately interpret, fills, and prepares prescriptions with appropriate medications and or medical supplies for pharmacist verification. Conducts regularly scheduled inventories every 72 hours and daily if needed according to regulations and policies.
