**Job Summary:**
Assures the appropriate selection, dosing, administering and dispensing of medication orders. Provides supervision for actions of pharmacy technicians, residents, graduates and interns. Interacts with patients, physicians, and nurses concerning various clinical activities in order to provide proper drug therapy. Functions as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in the absence of the Pharmacy Supervisor/Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Verifies prescription orders and dispenses medications as ordered by ensuring the accuracy of entered prescription orders, by performing DUR/DUE, verifying drug/drug interactions and completing visual verification of orders.
