*Per Diem Surgical Physician Assistant – Northern Dutchess Hospital*
The Surgical PA Service at Northern Dutchess Hospital is seeking to add a board-certified per diem Physician Assistant to join its team. We are a hospital-based group that offers a supportive and team-based environment with exposure to multiple surgical subspecialties. Responsibilities currently include OR first assist coverage as well as perioperative management of patients on the general surgery service.
* OR First Assisting- Surgical PA Services first assist in the OR for specialties including but not limited to general, plastic, spine, bariatric and OB/GYN cases.
* Rounding- Surgical PA’s round on general surgery patients daily. This is done as a team-based approach with attendings, residents, students.
* Consults/ Admissions- Surgical PA Services covers admissions and consults for general surgeons
