Job Description

Tasks

  • Process weekly payroll for unionized employees and bi-weekly payroll for non-unionized employees and managers.
  • Manage employee benefits, including group insurance and retirement plans.
  • Validate data in payroll systems and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate payments and compliance with deadlines.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports.
  • Respond to government agency inquiries.
  • Prepare year-end tax documents.
  • Update personal information and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial standards, collective agreements, and internal policies.
  • Respond to questions from managers and employees regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient payroll processes.
