Job Description
Payroll Technician
Under the direction of the Director of Fiscal Services, prepare hourly and monthly payrolls for assigned employee groups; explain policies and procedures related to payroll accounting; educate and enroll employees in health benefits; process enrollment forms; serve as liaison for employees for various insurance carriers and worker's compensation agencies.
Requirements / Qualifications
Payroll and Financial Record-Keeping Proficiency Minimum two years of financial record-keeping experience, including at least one year in payroll, with demonstrated ability to process, audit, balance, and reconcile payroll transactions such as tax withholding, deductions, and garnishments with a high degree of accuracy.
