**UW Medical Center-Montlake - ED Registration Department** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Patient Services Specialist 2** .

**WORK SCHEDULE**

+ 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
+ Night shift
+ Thursday–Sunday, 8:30 PM–7:00 AM

**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**

+ Primary responsibility: scheduling clinic appointments, processing lab requests and specimens, and performing clerical duties in support of the unit
+ Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine, where Patients Are First

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Register patients; verify, collect, and update demographic and financial information
+ Determine eligibility for care; assign appropriate payor plans; verify eligibility and benefits for third-party payors for planned and/or emergency services
+ Verify insurance coverage; obtain authorizations; complete Medicare as a Secondary Payor form
