Job Description

The Position:


  • Orderly team members provide patient transport services to all departments, wards and clinical areas

  • Safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances in the performance of cleaning duties

  • Identifying and recording any problems relating to orderly services and/or safety

  • Decontamination of surfaces after the initial clinical waste spillage has been removed by clinical staff

  • Communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients and your supervisor

    • Minimum Criteria:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is highly desirable

  • Must hold a valid Working with Children Card

  • Must have valid Police Check

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a health care facility

  • Ability to work within a rotating roster

  • Must have a genuine interest in working with and caring for people
