Job Description
Responsibilities
- Supports and monitors the risk management program taking a proactive approach to help minimize and mitigate clinical risk
- Supports internal risk identification mechanisms including but not limited to incident reports, medical record reviews, clinical audits, patient complaints, claims and risk assessments
- Investigates patient safety issues and incidents within the organization and reports patient safety data in actionable formats
- Demonstrates a strong overview of the progress of incident and complaint investigations and ensures the Director of Risk Management is informed of any issues or risks
- Supports the process for reporting and updating information relating to patient safety incidents, complaints and near misses
- Promotes patient safety during the review of incident and complaint data aiming to enhance patient outcomes and the effectiveness of care
