Job Description

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call
EMR System: MediTech Practice Setting: Inpatient

 Practice Details:
  • Work alongside :
    • 2 Pathologists
    • 3 Histotechs
    • 2 Tech Assistants
    • 2 Cytotechnologists
  • Average daily volume:
    • slides shared among 3 pathologists
    • surgical cases per provider daily
    • Around 10 cytology cases daily
  • Case mix includes :
    • GI
    • Breast
    • Surgical nephrology
    • General pathology
    • Gyn/Non-gyn cytology
    • Minimal hematology
  • No Neuro, Pediatrics, or Autopsy cases
  • Bone marrow and complex heme-path cases are sent out
  • Must be comfortable with:
    • Grossing specimens
    • FNA/Rapid Interpretation
    • Frozen sections
