The Post-doc will be supervised by Professor Samreen Malik and will be part of a research team that works on issues related to development of human capital as well as climate and sustainable development. Some of the topics of interest include how better air quality improves student's health and non-cognitive functions; sleep patterns of children and its relation to their academic achievement; whether households in low income countries adopt water saving technology to overcome water scarcity; whether cleaning air in workplaces impacts worker's productivity. Many of the projects will involve public and private partnership in the UAE and in other countries and the post-doc will be useful for the UAE based partnership, holding meetings, convincing potential partners to collaborate, and present work to the partners and academics.
