Position Details:
Kilgore College is a comprehensive public community college with a campus in Kilgore and an extension center in Longview, Texas. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) accredits the East Texas Police Academy, an instructional program of the College. Courses offered include the basic peace officer, jailer, telecommunicator courses, and various specialized classes necessary for upgrading and maintaining the high standards of individual officers and law enforcement agencies. Weekly hours vary widely depending on the applicant’s availability and academy scheduling needs. We cannot guarantee a set number of hours on a regular basis; the number of hours an adjunct instructor is scheduled to teach largely depends on their availability coinciding with academy scheduling needs.
