Overview
The Critical Care Ground Transport Paramedic (CCGTP) is responsible for assessment, triage, treatment and evaluation of interfacility patients during transport by ground. The CCGTP must function autonomously utilizing medical protocols and advanced skills under the direction of the medical director. The CCGTP utilizes clinical process to provide comprehensive care to the patient and documents that process on the patient record. The CCGTP serves as a resource for other team members by sharing skills and clinical knowledge. The CCGTP must be effective with communication, skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal/external personnel. The CCGTP must also possess excellent interpersonal skills as s/he is instrumental in providing community outreach and education.
