**Position Purpose:**

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the **Paramedic** will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.

_This Paramedic position will be working in our Trauma II Emergency Department at Mount Carmel East on nights three 12-hour shifts per week from 6pm - 6:30am with rotating weekends and holidays._

**What You Will Do:**

+ Initiates respiratory interventions including oxygen therapy and assistance with preparation for intubation per physician order or protocol
+ Initiates and discontinues intravenous lines and intraosseous (IO) access as requested by the physician, including use of the ultrasound machine
