Summary This position is located within the Kansas City Veteran's Affairs Medical Center (KCVAMC), Facilities Management Service (FMS). The position serves as a painter for facilities included in the Kansas VA Medical Center, to include outlying areas such as CBOCs and other facilities. Responsibilities Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Interior and Exterior Painting: Performs both interior and exterior painting or coating of all types of building surfaces, including wood, concrete, wallboard, metal, plaster, and ceilings. Paints signs and performs drywall finishing, smooths out cracks and seams, and prepares surfaces for all types of finishes required. Recommends and performs necessary touch-ups and repairs to maintain the appearance and integrity of painted surfaces.
