Ophthalmology Technician, Wairau Hospital, Permanent Part‑time

About the Role

As an Ophthalmology Technician, you will provide critical support and follow‑up services to out‑patient clinics freeing up our Ophthalmologists to focus on providing further procedures. You will haveexperience performing visual field, vision test, biometry, topography, eidon, Oct and other tests.

This is a permanent part time role working 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE), Monday to Sunday between the hours of 7.30AM to 6.00PM. There is no on‑call.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Ophthalmology Departments at both sites (Nelson hospital and Wairau hospital) are contemporary services based on a team of Ophthalmologists who have general and subspecialist training, specialist nurses, orthoptists, optometrists and technicians. There is a comprehensive suite of equipment including OCT, Fields, Photography, and Lasers.
