Description
The Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor for the Retina division in Westwood will oversee daily clinical workflows to ensure efficient patient care delivery and high-quality support for physicians. This role is responsible for supervising a team of back office staff, coordinating staffing, and provide direct patient care. The Supervisor also serves as a lead resource in clinical support functions, ensuring adherence to departmental standards and providing hands-on guidance when needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Supervise and assign work to a team of ultrasound staff, ophthalmic technicians, medical photography, and nursing
+ Manage recruitment, interviewing, and selection of new staff members
+ Provide training and conduct evaluations to ensure competency and performance standards are met
+ Develop and manage weekly staff schedules, including real-time adjustments and last-minute coverage needs
