**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**
Perform a variety of diagnostic test to the eyes to provide information to the ophthalmologist for diagnosis and treatment. Assist the ophthalmologist with diagnostic and treatment oriented procedures and administrative tasks.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Perform patient intake to include ocular history, medical history, medications and allergies. (20%)
+ Perform a variety of routine tests using ophthalmic instruments that provide diagnostic information including, but not limited to, intraocular pressures, basic motility, visual fields, PAM and BAT tests, A-scan USN, fundus photography, pupillary assessment and measurement. (20%)
+ Assist the physician during diagnostic and minor surgical procedures (in office), including instrumentation, sterile preparations and documentation. (20%)
