Purpose


Operate assigned cut-off lines to produce core wire used in the manufacture of manual electrodes while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.

Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Operates mild steel, high-carbon steel, and stainless-steel draw benches and roll-cut machines to draw down coiled steel rod, straighten wire, and cut it to specified lengths.

  • Produces core wire meeting quality and production requirements.

  • Inspects a sample of core wire from each tote box to verify conformance to physical and quality specifications.

  • Fills tote boxes with cut wire and identifies each tote using the required color-code tag that corresponds to the source rod.
