Operational Accountant

Type: Permanent | Office-based (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30)

Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Operational Accountant to support financial operations through accurate reporting, strong controls, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and support Accounts Receivable
• Review financial transactions, VAT and reconciliations
• Prepare VAT returns and financial reports
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with SARS, Tax and VAT requirements
• Assist with audits and stock takes

Requirements

• Completed Accounting Degree
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Retail experience advantageous
• Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics beneficial)
• Own reliable transport
