Job Description
Title: OR Scheduler
Location(s): Wyandotte and Brownstown
Hours: M-F variable 6a-630p
Weekend Hours7a-1p
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision performs a variety of scheduling functions at the O.R. control desk or scheduler's office using a computerized system. Creates a 48-hour draft of the O.R. schedules, independently moves cases to vacant opening. Resolves scheduling conflicts with surgical specialties.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
+ Advanced education, college degree preferred.
+ 1-3 years minimum experience preferred.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with others in the work environment; must be able to read, write, and speak English.
+ Computer skills required. Medical Terminology Data Entry/Keyboarding Computer software, i.e.., Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access Time management
