About the Unit

Te Whare Hohou Roko, is a 9-bed forensic inpatient
unit that provides specialised therapeutic security, rehabilitation and recovery orientated care and treatment
for people with a diagnosed mental health condition who require a medium secure
care environment.

The
multi-disciplinary team delivers MDT Case Management, which requires staff engagement and
commitment to individualised, person centred, strengths
based, collaborative care, based on tangata whaiora’s needs, risk assessments,
identified goals, cultural identity, and informed family/whanau input. 

As
a team we treat each other with respect, dignity, and work together to provide safe outcomes
for our tangata whaiora, including reintegration back into the community
setting.
