Description:

The Nursing Supervisor collaborates with unit leadership to ensure appropriate staffing and serves as a resource to the Nursing staff. Continued competence in the practice and of professional nursing in terms of both knowledge and skill. Shows a willingness to demonstrate flexibility for staffing as demanded based on hospital needs. Has a knowledge of growth and development and ability to meet the age-related needs of the patient populations served.

Collaborates with unit leadership to ensure appropriate staffing during assigned shift. Serves as a liaison between nursing and other departments. Provides consultation to Nurse Managers on administrative issues. Confers with Nursing staff, individually, as patient or staff needs may dictate.
