**Primary Function/General Purpose of Position**

The primary functions and general purpose of the faculty position are the teaching and facilitation of the educational program. Teaching includes various levels of service, practice and professional development, and scholarship that are commensurate with faculty rank.

**Essential Job Functions**

+ Holds minimum degree required per the educational program accreditation standards.
+ Teach up to a maximum workload per academic year as define in ACA 1.01 Faculty Workload policy.
+ Implements the curriculum with effective teaching strategies and evaluation measures.
+ Utilizes innovative teaching strategies/information technologies and provides feedback to facilitate student learning.
+ Participates in shared governance activities and school/college ceremonies.
