Responsibilities Assists Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in performing patient care activities for psychiatric and long-term medical/surgical patients. Rotates with other nursing assistants in assignments, working variable hours. Assists with admissions and dismissals, including delivery of medical records as necessary. Reports pertinent data in a timely manner to the medical staff including changes in patient's condition requiring assessment and/or further intervention. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
