Job Description
Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner provides high quality, patient-focused health care services to all patients in collaboration with the other staff members to ensure that the individually planned needs and desires of patients are met, regardless of age or gender, on a continuing basis by performing the duties outlined below. The Nurse Practitioner will practice/perform the medical services as delegated or directed by the supervising physician as long as they are within the scope of practice for the RN/APRN. The NP will abide by the standards and laws governing the practice of nursing and advanced practice registered nursing as established by the designated State Board and specified State Professional and Occupational Standards. It is the obligation of each Nurse Practitioner to ensure that their supervisory requirements are adhered to, that the relationship of and access to the supervising physician is defined, and that a process for evaluation is established.
