Purpose of the Position

The Nurse contributes to advancing International Medical Corps’ mission by supporting the Medical Doctor and the broader medical team in ensuring access to quality health services for vulnerable populations. Through coordinating with local partner, the implementation medical mission, patient triage, facilitation of smooth patient flow, delivery of clinical care, assistance with referrals, and promotion of health education and hygiene practices, the Program Officer (EMT Nurse) strengthens community health systems and enhances resilience. In collaboration with the Medical Doctor, the Nurse plays a key role in community health outreach and preparedness for emergencies, including rapid deployment within 48 hours following typhoons or other crises to ensure continuity of care.
