Unit Description

This unit primarily focuses on short stay (1-2 days) medical/surgical patients. This unit is a supportive environment for a new nurse to grow their nursing skills by learning to take care of a wide variety of patients, or an experienced nurse who enjoys caring for patients who move through their hospital stay quickly. We have a great mentoring/precepting program, focused on teamwork, positivity, and growth to support you in your nursing goals.

Job Summary

Responsible to develop an overall view of patients, family and caregivers by establishing strong partnerships dedicated to optimal care. The NL facilitates the delivery of optimal patient care by the healthcare team through delegation, facilitation, collaboration, critical thinking and prioritization.
