Job Description
Education Specialist – Moderate/Severe (Extensive Support Needs)
Santee School District (Contracted Through Amergis Staffing) Pay Rate: $60–$70 per hour
Position Summary
The Education Specialist – Moderate/Severe contracted through Amergis provides specialized academic instruction, functional skills development, and behavioral support to students with Extensive Support Needs (ESN) within Santee School District. The educator ensures access to curriculum, meaningful inclusion, and measurable progress on IEP goals in alignment with IDEA, California Education Code, and district expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential – Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs authorization.
+ Experience supporting students with significant cognitive, behavioral, communication, or medical needs.
+ Ability to implement AAC, assistive technology, and functional skills instruction.
