Job Summary:

Under general supervision from the laboratory supervisor, prepares patients for and conducts routine and special END procedures, such as sleep studies, neonatal exams, long-term and Intraoperative neuro monitoring, including diagnostic and investigative studies in the laboratory, at the bedside, and in critical care units, on all ages of patients served by the department.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Performs END procedures in at least one modality under general supervision of the lab supervisor and in accordance with the standards and protocols of the laboratory.

+ Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner and with appropriate impedances. Demonstrates competency in multiple electrode application techniques.

+ Documents a comprehensive patient history gathering appropriate information from patient, patients record, and family members including neurological symptomatology and medications.
