Network and Data Center Technician

Responsible for general data center maintenance duties, including cabling, wiring installations, supervising external vendors, and documenting changes. Position mainly based at Markham location. Hours and location vary.

Location: Markham, ON. This role is fully in office 5 days/week.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee all electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance. Coordinate all work with external contractors and manage physical access.
• Provision data centre space, power and cooling for all new hardware requirements.
• Installation and decommission of all data centre equipment. Responsible for updating all inventory documentation.
• Installation of copper/fiber cable in data centres. Update documentation of network cabling.
• Monitor data centre site conditions - complete inspections and coordinate any corrective activities with external contractors as required.
