**About the Role**

This is a hands-on, waterfront engineering role embedded directly in the ship pre-commissioning process. You'll serve as a critical bridge between the shipbuilder, the Navy's program offices, and the crew. Ensuring that the ship and her sailors are ready for fleet operations from day one.

As a **PRECOM Support Engineer** , you'll provide engineering and administrative support to the Prospective Commanding Officer (PCO), Executive Officer (XO), and Department Heads as their ship transitions from construction to an operational warship. You'll be part of an integrated support team alongside government and Noblis MSD personnel, working closely with PEO Ships, SUPSHIP Gulf Coast, and the ship's crew through every phase of fleet introduction.
