**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**

The music therapist provides group, milieu, and individual therapy services on the inpatient psychiatric units with special consideration to theoretical approaches and evidence-based practice. The music therapist utilizes their specialized expertise to contribute to the individualized plan of care and meet the biopsychosocial needs of patients.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**

+ Bachelor's degree, Master's Equivalency (in progress or completed), or Master's degree (in progress or completed) from an AMTA (American Music Therapy) accredited institution required.
