Job Description
Position Summary:
Under the direction of a radiologist, with minimum supervision, maintain the daily function of the MRI department.
Education, License & Cert:
High school with additional 2βyear Radiology Technology Training from a JRCERT approved program. Additional training or experience in the field of MRI Technology.
Experience:
Minimum of two years MRI scanning experience preferred.
Essential Functions:
A. The MRI technologist must initiate the correct protocol for scanning the requested anatomy with minimal supervision.
3. Advise the patient of the possibility and/or necessity of an intravenous contrast injection and the precautions or contraindications involved with such an injection.
C. Transfer of patient to the MRI scanner table and preparation for intravenous injection if needed.
