Job Description
Position: Mobile Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic
Type: Full-time
Location: Stennis, MS
Travel: 10%
**Contingent Upon Award**
Position Summary: The Mobile Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair of automotive, heavy truck, construction, and diesel powered equipment in both shop and field environments. This role executes all levels of corrective and preventive maintenance with minimal supervision and ensures mission readiness of NSW ground assets. The mechanic documents all maintenance actions in the Fleet Focus system and supports expeditionary and contingency maintenance requirements as directed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Perform all levels of maintenance on heavy trucks, CESE, and diesel equipment
+ Diagnose and repair suspension, steering, brakes, drivetrain, and powertrain systems
