About this role:We are seeking an experienced Ministerial Advisor for a 10-month fixed term position, or secondment. The purpose of the Advisor role is to develop and produce high quality responses to a range of Ministerial products including Correspondence, Parliamentary Questions and Official Information Act requests. It also forms a critical conduit role between the Ministry and the Minister's Office, co-ordinating and managing the flow of information between the two.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have:
* Experience producing high quality written work in either a professional or academic context.
* A working knowledge of the Official Information Act 1982 is preferrable.
* Working knowledge of the political process, the role of public servants, and the machinery of government.
