Job Description

Mill Maintenance / Heavy Duty Mechanic

Full-Time Position

Prince Albert, SK

SUMMARY

Reporting to the General Manager, the Mill Maintenance / Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the industrial equipment required to operate a wood preserving plant. Responsibilities are focused on equipment repair and preventative maintenance.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained to meet quality, productivity, and reliability expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery breakdowns.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
  • Operate hand and power tools including drills, grinders, welders, cutting torch in an safe and effective manner
  • Identify opportunities for safety, quality, and reliability improvements.
