About the role
Our Bachelor of Midwifery programme enables ākonga (learners) to remain at home with their whānau and undertake the majority of their study in their own geographical area through a blended delivery model of education. Ākonga are grouped into ‘satellites’ throughout the lower North Island/Te Ika-a-Maui and lower South Island/Te Waipounamu where we employ local midwives as Kaiako with responsibility for student support, teaching, assessment, liaison with local midwives and maternity services, and as members of the wider midwifery teaching team.
We are looking for a passionate Midwifery Lecturer/Kaiako to teach on the Bachelor of Midwifery programme. Teaching duties may include facilitating tutorials, support with intensive/wānanga sessions and assessment marking throughout the year.
