Mental Health Support Worker

Leader Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker for a secondary school setting in Long Benton. This role supports young people aged 11–18 who have learning difficulties, experience mental health challenges, and struggle to engage within a mainstream school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group emotional and mental health support to students.
• Support young people with anxiety, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, and behavioural challenges.
• Help students who are struggling in mainstream education to re‑engage with learning.
• Support and plan transitions back into mainstream school settings.
• Assist students in developing coping strategies, social skills, and confidence.
