**Job Summary and Qualifications**

**The medical lab technologist demonstrates the ability to competently perform routine and complex laboratory testing using manual and automated methods. Should be able to problem solve, and report a variety of lab procedures in the areas of Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology and Urinalysis with Little or no supervision. Must also demonstrate competency in specimen collection, performance of QC, equipment maintenance, participation in quality assurance and performance improvement activities, and other duties as assigned by the lab director/manager.**
