Job Description Summary

The Medical Technologist Coordinator works closely with the Supervisor and assists in the oversight of work processes and work groups within the laboratory. Is responsible for relaying communications between management and staff. Assists with problem resolution to technical and personnel issues that surface in daily laboratory operations. Leads team building effort and fosters an open and creative environment within the laboratory. Attends meetings and makes recommendations to streamline workflows between the laboratory and the clinics to better serve patient care. Assists with the validation, optimization, and implementation of highly complex state of the art technologies in a rapidly growing laboratory. Serves as subject matter expert on laboratory procedures, and contact person for troubleshooting of assays and instrumentation.
