Summary This position is located in Specialty Medicine within the Patient Business Services at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Medical Center. The Advanced Medical Support Assistant (A/MSA) is responsible for performing a variety of technical support duties that facilitate the work of physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nursing assistants, and other members of the medical facility who provide direct patient care. A/MSAs are considered chief sources of patient care and patient flow information. Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of assignments and provides advanced scheduling support to the Specialty Medicine sections of the Medical Center and CBOCs and is an integral member of the outpatient clinic team to effectively carry out day-to-day administrative operations of the clinic.
