Role Summary

• Receive, assist and direct patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
• Project a positive, friendly and compassionate image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via telephone.
• Provide efficient, helpful, informative and supportive reception and administration services to patients and the primary health care team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure an effective reception service for patients and visitors.
• Handle general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow‑up appointments.
• Use judgement to manage urgent consultations for walk‑in patients.
• Explain practice arrangements and formal requirements to new and temporary patients.
