The Medical Office Assistant must show an uncompromising commitment to providing the highest quality of patient care by being an integral part of the clinical team. Medical Office Assistants are under the general supervision of the office manager but under the direct supervision of the licensed provider while performing clinical and other supporting patient care tasks. The Medical Office Assistant will perform their duties to the full level in accordance with NYS guidelines as outlined below. The Medical Office Assistant is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment. The MOA must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care and demonstrate effective communication skills.
