The medical librarian is responsible for the provision of all library services. These services are meant to support the medical, educational, informational, and research-related needs of the physicians, nurses, residents, pharmacists, medical technologists, nutritionist-dietitians, administrators, students, and all other hospital personnel. This position entails administrative duties, budget preparation, collection development, reference and library instruction services, and technical services.
