Overview

Island Health’s Department Pathology, Laboratory Medicine & Medical Genetics has an opportunity for a permanent full-time (0.8 FTE) Medical Geneticist to join their team at the Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia. The successful candidate will hold a Fellowship in Medical Genetics with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have a full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad Medical Genetics consultation, inclusive of prenatal services, dysmorphology, and other familial and rare diseases.
• Support outreach clinics in a range of communities across Vancouver Island as applicable.
• Commitment to teaching, including mentorship of students of the UBC Island Medical Program and students/residents from other programs.
