The post is one of a multi-disciplined team of technicians within the Electronic and Bio-Medical Engineering department concerned with the provision of services that are aimed at ensuring that medical equipment operates effectively and safely with the minimum of downtime. The role involves calibrating and maintaining medical equipment and devices for use in patient care.

The post holder provides support to various electrical, electronic, mechanical and oxygen therapy equipment including the planned preventative maintenance, repair, calibration and acceptance testing of a wide range of medical equipment such as life support, patient monitoring, patient therapy, diagnostic, ventilatory and anaesthetic equipment, which at times may be patient connected.
