**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As our Medical Assistant, you will ensure smooth daily operations for your patients and the medical team. You can expect to support multiple patients daily, depending on physician availability. This position is represented by the SEIU-UHW.

Every day, you will proactively prepare patient charts, assist with patients exams or procedure and relay physician instructions, administer physician-directed medication and perform accurate vital sign measurements, manage medical records (charts and EMR), communicate patient concerns to providers, and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for medication authorizations and refills..

To be successful in this role, you will have an enthusiasm to help others and the ability to work efficiently and provide empathy for our patients.

+ Accurately obtains, interprets, and documents all patient vital signs.
