UPMC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to join their Pediatric team out of Children's Hosptial! This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with the hours of 8am to 4:30pm. No evenings, weekends, and select holidays off. This role is mainly located out of the Children's Hosptial in Lawrenceville, but will require travel to the three satelitte offices as needed for staffing. Satellite locations are in Bridgeville, Wexford, and Monroeville.

Primary responsibilities are casting, cast removal, rooming patients, clinic preparation, stocking rooms, and other duties as assigned.

Purpose:
Assist physicians with various aspects of patient care (including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks) ensuring patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

+ Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance. Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations.
