Job Summary:
The Infectious Disease Medical Assistant supports physicians and clinical providers by performing a variety of delegated clinical and administrative duties. This role ensures efficient patient flow, maintains high standards of infection control, and contributes to a safe, organized, and patient-centered care environment. The Medical Assistant works closely with infectious disease specialists to assist in patient evaluation, treatment, follow-up care, and clinical coordination.
CLERICAL PRACTICE
+ Assist physicians in the examination, treatment, and care of patients in an infectious disease setting
+ Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness, proper equipment setup, and adherence to infection control protocols
+ Interview patients, document medical history, and review current symptoms or concerns
