**Job Description**

The Medical Assistant II provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Mentors and assists less experienced staff members.

**Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma/GED with completion of Training Certificate from an approved Medical Assistant certificate course. Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
+ **Certification:** Medical Assistant certificate from an approved school
+ 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant, OB/GYN experience preferred
+ BCLS certification ? RequiredIssuing Authority: AHA
+ For in-house candidates, promotion to Level II is contingent upon consistent E or S annual performance appraisals.
